About Luz Renteria

Luz Renteria is a dedicated real estate professional with Coldwell Banker Realty, bringing over two decades of experience to the Chicago market. Originally from Jalisco, Mexico, Luz moved to Chicago in 1998 and began her real estate career in August 2001. Her journey reflects a deep commitment to serving clients with patience, thoroughness, and care. Her passion extends beyond closing transactions—she provides ongoing support and resources to help clients lower property taxes, improve their homes, and understand important documents after a transaction. 

Luz specializes in first-time homebuyers and holds the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) designation, along with certifications in Customer Service and Management. She is also the founder of Chicago Latino Business, a networking group that helps entrepreneurs grow, connect, and refer business. She has received industry recognition for successfully helping families find their home.

One of Luz’s most memorable success stories involves helping a family purchase a home  and they referred three family members . Years later, the same family and their relatives returned to buy additional properties —a testament to the trust and long-term relationships she builds. 

Known for her warm personality and outgoing nature, Luz enjoys playing tennis, walking outdoors, singing, reciting poetry, and dancing. A fun fact about her: whenever music plays, she’s the first on the dance floor!
